Been Busy

Wow! Was the last time I posted really in May? I guess that is what summer does to me. I have been working full time and no energy the time I am at home. Since my job is seasonal, I am off again and have time to craft. I didn't realize how much I missed it until I pulled all my supplies out and started playing. Here are a couple of cards I have made in the last week. I dont believe that the pictures do them justice, but what can I say...I am no photographer. I would love to be though.
This is a card I made for my friend Traci, whose birthday is this Saturday. The card stock is all from a packet I bought at walmart and the ribbon is some that I bought at Target. I used the coluzzle for the Tag and a stampin up saying for the Happy Birthday.
I have been sketching out some card layouts for Christmas cards this year and was very excited to try this so I had to pull out all my stuff and do it right then. Though I think the card is really cute I don't think it is right for my Christmas card to send to family this year so I will have to keep playing.
The paper I used is from CTMH (I think it is Aspen). I also used a stamp set from CTMH but the name has escaped me at the moment and I don't want to go dig it out at the moment. I do know that it was the Stamp of the Month within the last 6 months or so. You cant tell but there are snowflakes embossed on the background. I also embossed the snowman in white. I used a blender pen and matching inks to color the scarf, the mittens and the hat. It was a fun card to make and didn't take near as long as I expected.

Paper and Mothers Day Cards

I created my own paper using a sponge, Close To My Heart Ink, bulk white card stock, and my Cricut Expression. I made 4 different sheets.
I also created this simple Mother's Day card using the paper I created. Sorry I am not the best picture taker. If you have any suggestions to get a better picture please leave me a commint. I hope to someday get a good editing program but until then this will have to do.
Recipe:
Inks: Sweet Leaf, Blush, Lilac Mist (all CTMH)
White Card Stock
Cricut Cartridge-Accent Essentials
Spounge
Small Alphabet Stamps (I am not sure where they are from)
Pink Ribbon from Walmart
Thanks for Looking
